What your fees make possible

We know that making the choice to send your child to a fee-paying school is a big one. But Wildwood is different. 50% of our places are supported because we believe in equity and inclusivity, and we hope you do too. We welcome applications from all children, from all cultural and economic backgrounds. Our hope is that the diversity at Wildwood will come to reflect the wider London community.

So, if you have the capacity to pay the full fees, please know that you’re helping make it possible for another family to be able to come to Wildwood and experience a different way of educating their children. The only way we can create true equity in society is by working together, in big and small ways.

Even though we’re small, our running costs are high. This is mainly because we have a high number of teachers relative to the number of children. This enables us to deliver on our ethos of genuinely supporting and knowing each child. We also go out into nature every day, which means we need a higher ratio of teachers to children.

We don’t have massive grounds like some established independent schools. We do still have to pay significant rent for the church hall where we’re based. But we have the amazing privilege of being able to access the glorious Hampstead Heath.

If you choose to come to Wildwood, you’re not paying for a grand building or high-tech computer labs; you’re paying what it costs for your child to have a very different experience of school.
